About ChiefPricingOfficer.com

Elevate and Celebrate Pricing Leadership

Pricing leadership has arrived in the C-suite conversation. ChiefPricingOfficer.com exists to give it a voice, a standard, and a community. We represent the senior executives, rising leaders, and stakeholders who recognize that price is the most powerful lever of enterprise value.

Our Mission

To define the role of the Chief Pricing Officer — as a strategic leader with cross-functional impact, a voice in the boardroom, and accountability for pricing outcomes that drive enterprise value.

What We Do

  • Set the Standard — Legitimize and codify the Chief Pricing Officer role across industries.

  • Shape Careers — Provide a blueprint for rising pricing leaders and aspiring executives.

  • Unite Leaders — Bring together seasoned executives to speak with one voice on pricing leadership.

  • Influence Business — Engage investors, boards, and senior management to treat pricing as a true strategic capability.

  • Recognize Excellence — Celebrate companies and individuals who define the standard for pricing leadership.

How We Are Organized

ChiefPricingOfficer.com is guided by a Board of Directors — executives with decades of leadership experience in pricing, strategy, and commercial excellence across multiple industries. The Board develops position papers, sets priorities for the profession, and ensures the voice of pricing leadership is represented at the highest levels of business.

Membership is open to individuals who identify with one of three groups within the pricing community:

  • Chief Pricing Officers — Executives who have carried enterprise-wide accountability for pricing strategy and outcomes, regardless of title. While participation is voluntary, individuals recognized in this category are vetted by their peers to ensure the credibility of the designation.

  • Aspirational Members — Professionals building their careers in pricing and commercial excellence who seek mentorship, leadership development, and a blueprint for advancing toward C-suite responsibility.

  • General Interest Members — Executives, investors, academics, and others with a stake in pricing leadership who wish to follow the conversation and understand its impact on enterprise value.

This structure allows ChiefPricingOfficer.com to be both exclusive and inclusive: providing a recognized peer group for the most seasoned leaders, while welcoming those who aspire to learn, contribute, and grow.

What We Publish

Our work spans:

  • Position Papers — Official stances on pressing issues, from tariffs to price wars, published as the collective voice of the Board.

  • Op-Eds & Analysis — Articles and commentary that frame pricing as a boardroom imperative.

  • Career & Leadership Insights — Guidance for aspiring CPOs and rising pricing executives.

  • Recognition — Spotlighting leaders and companies who elevate the profession.

What is a Chief Pricing Officer?

A Chief Pricing Officer is the executive accountable for pricing as a strategic, enterprise discipline. While the formal title is still rare, the role already exists — carried by leaders with:

  • 20+ years of pricing and commercial leadership experience across industries and corporations.

  • Senior executive presence — capable of operating at board and C-suite level, influencing strategy and enterprise outcomes.

  • Cross-functional authority — bridging finance, sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations.

  • Accountability for results — ensuring pricing decisions translate directly into EBITDA impact, competitive advantage, and shareholder value.

These leaders have held top pricing roles under many titles — VP Pricing, Commercial Excellence, Revenue Management — but their mandate is the same: to own the most powerful lever of enterprise value.

Why It Matters

Most companies still treat pricing as a function of sales or finance. We believe pricing deserves a seat at the executive table — because it is the connective tissue between strategy, market dynamics, and shareholder value.

Our purpose is simple: to elevate and celebrate pricing leadership until every enterprise recognizes the role for what it is — essential.
